Royal Juice

Dear Gia

I have just completed my walk around Virginia Water Lake with weights around my ankles!!!

Why do I listen to G ? I must say it makes me feel like I’m as light as a feather, just wish the scales would agree. I know I have been picking a lot,but the pounds are just creeping up and up.

But I have earned my juice, which has the following ingredients today:

1 apple

1 orange

1 celery stick

1 carrot

piece of ginger

delicious and fit for any royal, at which point I would like to introduce you to M’s golden jubilee hat.

Hope you are having a good day

Lots of  love

Diamond Jubilee Fly Past

Dear Gia

Oh I do love living in Ascot!

As you might know our Queen is celebrating her diamond jubilee this year. The whole country will and already is celebrating in all kinds of ways.

Today thousands of people gathered in Windsor (which is also the surname of the Queen, did you know that?) to watch some 2500 troops from the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force parading through the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle and then through the town.

There was also a Royal fly past with 12 helicopters leading in formation.

Then we had a Lancaster and Spitfires, after which 20 Tucanos fly over us in a 60 formation! Following this we had VC10 and Tornados GR4s, this was so impressive. No just listen to this, we had, I don’t know how many, but there were many Hawks which flew in a formation reading E”R, it was so spectacular. To finish it all off the Red Arrows fly in diamond shape ending with red, white and blue smoke.

Now aren’t you impressed with my aeroplane knowledge ( I am 😉 )

I had baked a blueberry cake ( as close as I could get to red, white and blue), made some bacon, avocado and hummus rolls, made my hair look royal and off we went. Oh yes and a flask of tea, peppermint I’m afraid so not royal at all.

We put or rather G put the girls bikes in the car and we drove to Savill Garden, a beautiful garden close to us, really worth a visit should you ever be in the area.

I digress, as usual. We were concerned about all the thousands of people so thought it might be best to walk/cycle to the copper horse which is a statue in the Great Park right at the end of the long walk which leads to Windsor Castle.

So we parked our car at Savill Garden and walked/cycled for about 40 minutes until we arrived at our destination. We met up with some friends ate our by now well deserved food and had a cuppa tea and really a great time.

We managed to find a slightly shorter route back to the car and came across a group of dear just wondering in the park. It was so lovely.

Right now my legs are tired and I feel a real happy tired. We are going to friends tonight to watch the Bayern Munich – Chelsea football match, the champions league final. I don’t mind who wins this one, but I will be drinking beer!

I hope you are having a good weekend too
